Reflections on 2018

Reflections on 2018

Spread the love

Another year is coming to an end. As I look back on 2018 I see:

  • Some goals accomplished.
  • Other goals not at all.
  • A bucket list vacation
  • Unexpected repair bills
  • Prayers answered, including some that involved big issues or long-term concerns.
  • Friends and family members passing on despite our prayers.
  • A pet lost and a pet gained.
  • New relationships.
  • Disappointments
  • Joys
  • Frustrations
  • Successes
  • The fear of failure lurking like a lump of acid in my stomach
  • Gratitude for unexpected blessings
  • Days when I wonder if I’m making any difference at all
  • Moments when I see God’s hand at work

Through the ups and downs of 2018 I have tried to remain thankful for all that God has done and continues to do in my life and lives of my loved ones. Some days this is easy, other days not so much.

Faith.

Hope.

Love.

I need these in my life each day. Putting On The New is one resource that helps me find them.

I hope these words and those of the other wonderful ladies here will continue to bear fruit in your life in the year to come.
