Pray Until You Get a Response

Pray Until You Get a Response

Spread the love

“Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.” Luke 18:5 (KJV)

I’m sure many of you have heard the story about the persistent widow in Luke 18. Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up. The Widow continued to go to the judge with her plea, ‘Grant me justice against my adversary,’ even after the unjust judge consistently refused.

After a while, he got tired of her coming to him and stated the scripture above.

The moral of the story:

Never give up!

Don’t stop praying!

No matter what the circumstances continue to pray and seek God’s direction.

If we “Pray Until Something Happens” we will get an answer to our requests.

  1. Oh yes, I truly believe this! I have one grandchild, a seventeen-year-old granddaughter. I pray daily for her to hunger for a better knowledge of God and to thirst for His Word. She was baptized when she was about twelve, but had not attended church in quite sometime. Last night, I was surprised to receive a text that said: “You know what I’m gonna do? I’m going to church tomorrow.” It was such a joy to sit next to her at worship service this morning, and I’m going to keep right on praying every day!

    • Praise the Lord for your granddaughter sitting next to you in church on Sunday. I’m still praying for my three, they went when they were younger but doesn’t attend as often now. Keep them in prayer – Tarrin, Kameron, and Jaylen. Thanks
