A New Year?

A New Year?

Spread the love

It’s hard to believe that we are getting close to the end of the second month of 2018 already. Are you one of those who likes to make New Year’s resolutions? If so, how are you doing with your goals for the year? A lot of years I don’t make resolutions, but I do come up with tentative goals of what I’d like to accomplish. Another thing I often do is pick a word for the year to focus on.

I think this is the first year I haven’t done either of those things. Now I did feel led to start working on a Bible study called Seeking Him: Experiencing the Joy of Personal Revival by Nancy Leigh DeMoss Wolgemuth. It’s been a joy to start going through a Bible study again.

I made some loose plans of trying to focus more on the house this year – trying to downsize and clean up some things. So far, I cleared out a bit and organized my craft room. With things in much better shape there, I’ve enjoyed getting back to knitting again and would like to continue to work on projects throughout the year. Since Christmas I think I’ve knitted about 20 dishcloths, 10 scarves, and one sweater dress. Soon I will be leaving on a business trip. I need to figure out what knitting project to take along and work on while I’m gone.

How about you? What do you hope to accomplish? Are you on track with what you planned?

  1. Jodie, I liked your post. I’ve been thinking much of the same things. I did pick a phrase this year, as I have done in the past. It is “The Lord is my shepherd. I shall not want.” May God bless you in your precious Bible study this year.

  2. Blessings to you as well, Jude.
