I hold seeds in my hand.

I’ve always held seeds. Seeds of hope. Seeds of heartache. Seeds of destiny. Seeds of disappointment.

They’re all mixed together in a rough and tumble way because that’s how life happens sometimes. It gets rough and tumbly.

Yet this time it’s different.

This time I look at these seeds with new, yet ancient, eyes, and I see what needs plucking, what needs planting, what needs tossing, what needs tending.

So I pluck. And I plant. And I toss. And I tend.

Little by little, my new-ancient eyes re-vision.

“If thy eye be single, then thy whole body will be filled with light.”

My eye is single now, and I can clearly see light.
