Christmas Time Hustle and Bustle

Christmas Time Hustle and Bustle

Spread the love

The hustle and bustle is in full swing. I’m sure y’all have noticed. We went out today and oh my goodness. The city streets are packed. Where I live there was a mile at least of traffic to just get near Walmart. Oh man! Once we got there parking was way out there. I didn’t want to go out today, but my twins needed something that couldn’t wait until after Christmas.

We then drove past the mall and it was way worse. Everyone out getting last minute Christmas gifts, I read that tomorrow is panic Saturday. You won’t see me out in that! I’ll be at home baking some more cookies with my kiddos and making peppermint bark!

Let’s not forget what this season is about. Jesus. His amazing birth!

Luke 2: 6-7

6 While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born,
7 and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them.
It’s not about the presents. It’s all about Him. Being with family and friends and celebrating Jesus birthday!

  1. Allyson, this was a good reminder that I’m not going to run out to pick up a few things at the store today! It was also a good reminder to keep my heart and mind focused on Christ as all the hype unfolds over the next few days! Especially as a mom, I want nothing more than to teach my children to live lives with Christ at the very center. Thanks for your words today!

  2. You’re welcome!

  3. Hope you had a Jesus Christmas with family. We did
