How to Guarantee Your Prayers Will Be Answered

How to Guarantee Your Prayers Will Be Answered

Spread the love

Is there anyone out there that doesn’t want their prayers answered when they pray?

Of course not———-

  1. We pray because we have a need.
  2. We ask because we want God to hear and answer our prayers.

PRAY-ERS – We don’t want to wander around in the “Christian Book Store” for hours hoping we’ll find a book titled, “100% guarantee that your prayers will be answered.”

  1. We desire to pray effective prayers as Apostle James talked about in James 5:16 “The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.”

To do that – we need to pray the will of God

We must find out God’s will in the matter and pray in agreement with Him.

  1. Let’s say you pray to God for a husband ——– you are specific in your request as the scriptures tells us to be (you want a SMV –– SAVED MAN WORKING.
  2. BUT, you don’t ask God if it’s His will for you to be married at this time………….You join a dating site, join a singles group at church, get set up with blind dates…………….NIL………….YOU don’t meet your life partner.
  • Does that mean your prayer was not answered?

         NO! NO! NO!

If you had talked to God first, He may have told you:

  1. It’s not time yet, I’ve got something better waiting.
  2. There are some things you need to work on first before you’re ready for marriage.
  3. I’ve chosen you for a great and powerful ministry and marriage is not part of the plan.

Delay does not mean denial!

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.  Philippians 4:6-7 (NKJV)

I’ll continue my dialogue on how to guarantee your prayers will be answered next month. Don’t forget to check back July 21, 2017 to hear more.
