Jesus Calling

Jesus Calling

Spread the love

God tells us not to resist or run from the difficulties of our lives but to come to Him for understanding and resolution. I am confident that 100% of us are dealing with difficult situations. I’d like to share a unique devotional I recently received. It is Jesus Calling by Sarah Young. The past few days she has written about bringing our problems to Jesus.

Thank Me for your problems. As soon as your mind gets snagged on a difficulty, bring it to Me with thanksgiving. Then ask Me to show you My way to handle the situation. The very act of thanking Me releases your mind from its negative focus. As your turn your attention to Me, the problem fades in significance and loses its power to trip you up. Together we can deal with the situation, either facing it head–on or putting it aside for later consideration.

Most of the situations that entangle your mind are not today’s concerns; you have borrowed them from tomorrow. In this case, I lift the problem out of today and deposit it in the future, where it is veiled from your eyes. In its place, I give you My Peace, which flows freely from My Presence.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.—Phil 4:6

Take time to listen to Jesus when He calls. I like to take time everyday to sit in silence and listen to Him. In doing this, I have grown in my relationship with Jesus and my ability to trust in Him and thank Him for difficult times.
