Faith Through Sickness

Faith Through Sickness

Spread the love

“Praise the LORD, you angels, you mighty ones who carry out his plans, listening for each of his commands.” Psalms 103:20 (NLT)

On more than one occasion I have gone to bed perfectly healthy on Saturday night and awoke Sunday morning with stomach pain, headache, or just not feeling well. During those times I have to press ‘through’ the symptoms, stand on God’s promises, walk by faith and not by my emotions (or five senses).

Yes, the abdominal pain, head pain, and sick feelings were real. But I discerned that the enemy was attacking my body because The Prince of Darkness did not want me to go to church. He knew God had a word that I needed to hear and was attempting to distract me with discomfort so I would get back in bed and not go to church.

Well, greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world.

What we have to do in those situations is plead the Blood of Jesus over our bodies.

We are part of the family of God and walk in health and not sickness.

We are free from illness and disease because we are covered with the Blood of Jesus.

We have power over bad health, maladies, sin, and the flesh through Christ Jesus, who died that we might be FREE.

We walk and live in that freedom!

We declare and proclaim freedom in Jesus Christ.

We have power through the Blood of Jesus, the Name of Jesus, and the Word of God; whose words the angels obey.

BUT we must repent and ask our Heavenly Father to forgive us of all iniquities, go to Him in faith, and He will “heal all our diseases.”

“He forgives all my sins and heals all my diseases.” Psalms 103:3 (NLT)

  1. You’re absolutely right that the enemy attacks when we’re about to receive or offer a blessing. And when we push through the discomfort, God blesses us and others.

  2. Through my breast cancer diagnosis in 2005, many blessings were found. My husband and I started a cancer support group at church, we became Shepherds in our church and participated in Relay for Life. Also, many people going through their own cancer journey have reached out to us to chat about our own cancer experience. God took the bad of cancer and turned it into good for us and for others. 13 years cancer free for me. Praise God!
