Change Is In The Air

Change Is In The Air

Spread the love
  • There are a lot of changes happening in my life right now, some I wanted, some I didn’t…at least not how they happened, and some I’m not sure yet how they’re going to work out. But the one thing I’ve been reminded of during this season is how God is always with us even when things don’t go as planned.

It made me think of Esther in the Bible. They were facing many changes and challenges and recognized they had very little control over them happening. What they did have control over though was to pray and invite God’s authority and love for them into the situation. When they did that, things worked out better than they could have ever imagined or accomplished on their own. God isn’t even mentioned directly in Esther but His hand is seen throughout the book and the details.

My mind, heart and soul have been jaded by circumstances over this past month and I could feel myself being pulled down and away from the truth of God’s love for me. I’ve been praying earnestly and surrounding myself with Christian music and worship but my heart was not in it. But what I remembered from last time I went though a difficult season was that I needed to CHOOSE to do the things I knew to be right and the feelings would come.

The mind of sinful man is death, but the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace.”   —Romans 8:6

Thankfully that’s what’s happened again. By getting away from the stressful situations and enjoying time with God’s creation, my heart, mind and soul are more at peace and I am feeling closer to God once again.

I am also remembering that He is in control, He is with me and He loves me. Change isn’t always easy and it isn’t always good but it is inevitable and the more we embrace it when it happens, the more we will enjoy the new adventures we face.
