I Will Rejoice

I Will Rejoice

“This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.” – Psalm 118:24 KJV

I’ve heard this Scripture hundreds of times. I’ve repeated it to myself many times to remember I need to be thankful for each day. But lately I’ve been pausing and reflecting on “rejoice.”

will rejoice.

I should be happy that this is the day the Lord made. I shouldn’t just be thankful. I should rejoice. Have complete and utter joy that He has made this day. It should cause me to rest in the assurance that comes with that knowledge. Knowing that there is a plan for not just my life, but my day.

will rejoice.

The day won’t go to waste no matter what comes my way. Whatever trial I’ll run into. Whatever miniature meltdown I may have over things that are making me weary. None of it can touch the fact that God cares.

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” – Jeremiah 29:11 KJV

Sometimes the trials of this life can weigh us down. We forget the hope that joy brings and basking in the presence of our Lord. Friends, this is the day He has made, we WILL rejoice in the beauty that it brings. In the beauty that promise holds.

How do you rejoice in the day?

  1. Toni,
I loved how you said: “Whatever miniature meltdown I may have over things that are making me weary” What a great word picture! I so do this. Thanks for the encouragement.
