Trust God

Trust God

The last few months have been challenging for me but over the last couple of weeks, the word trust has repeatedly come to my mind and heart. It can be difficult to trust because trust requires us to let go of control and to wait–my least favorite thing to do!

During my devotion time recently, I was reflecting on this word trust again and God placed the following on my heart as a way to remind me what trust is all about. I thought I’d share it with you with the hope that it may serve as a good reminder when you find yourself struggling.

We are to

  • Turn to God first and with everything.
  • Remember God’s past provisions.
  • Understand God’s ways and timing are always perfect.
  • Seek God with our whole heart, mind and soul.
  • Believe the Truth that God is always with us; we are never alone.

“Our soul waits for the Lord; He is our help and our shield. For our heart rejoices in Him because we trust in His holy name.”  ~Psalm 33:20-21, NASB

“When I am afraid I will put my trust in You.” ~Psalm 56: 3 NASB

“You will seek Me and find Me when you search for me with all your heart.” ~Jeremiah 29:13 NASB

My prayer for all of us is that we will continue to grow in our desire and ability to trust in God fully each and every day.

Heavenly Father, help us when we are struggling to trust in in You, to know that Your plan for our lives is always going to be better than we could ever imagine or hope for and your timing is always perfect. In Jesus Name. Amen

  1. Thanks for sharing this, Tina. Yes, complete trust is hard to come by. Like you, I’ve had some challenges to deal with, especially this month. But I love your featured image today … Just let go … and let God. Seems all things work better when we put our trust in Him. God bless …

Thanks for taking the time to reply Peg! I’m sorry to hear about your challenges as well. I keep reminding myself that when times are difficult it’s when God is most st work in my life and something good is about to happen when I will see the fruit of His refinement. God bless.
