Come to the Light – Christ Jesus

Come to the Light – Christ Jesus

“And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil. For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works should be exposed. But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in God.”  John 3:19-21 ESV

Have you ever opened drapes or lifted shades to let the sun light in and was astonished to see dusty tables, spider webs in corners, and balls of lint on the carpet? You exclaim, “I just cleaned this house a week ago, I can’t believe this much dust accumulated in a week.”

If you had not sheened the ‘light’ in the living room, you could continue with the fallacy that your home was free of dust, lint and webs.

That’s what ‘walking in the light’ does for us – it highlights our sinfulness and bad behaviors so we can no longer deceive ourselves.
