In the Blink of an Eye

In the Blink of an Eye

Continuing from last month:

Let’s turn to 1st Thessalonians 4:13 – 14 and read what it says:

13 Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. 14 For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. (NIV)

We will not be dead. We will just be sleeping…

So, whether we’re in heaven, in paradise, or in the grave – we will be with Jesus!

This time of meditation gave me a better revelation of death ——-

We don’t die – we just make a transition!

  • We move from death to life!
  • We go from mortality to immortality!
  • We transfer from physical life to Spiritual life!
  • We become the real, spiritual people God created – No longer walking around in an earth suit!
  • We become like our Father – Our creator – Our maker!

Just like the prophet Samuel was able to be brought from the grave;

Clearly like Lazarus was raised from the tomb;

Truly like the saints came from the crypts after the crucifixion –

Absolutely like Jesus rose from the sepulcher to live and reign forever in heaven –

When we die ——When we leave this physical world——-We will really be ALIVE!

That’s when life will really begin! That is when we will really begin to live!

Check in April 21, 2017 to read the conclusion to my reflections.

“It will happen in a moment, in the blink of an eye, when the last trumpet is blown. For when the trumpet sounds, those who have died will be raised to live forever. And we who are living will also be transformed.”  1 Corinthians 15:52 (NLT)
