I will never leave you nor forsake you; I am with you always, even to the end of time. O God, do not remain silent; do not turn a deaf ear, do not stand aloof, O God. Psalm 83:1
I’ve been praying for a particular situation for several years and it seems like God is not paying attention to my petition. I began to feel that my prayers were not getting up to heaven. Satan used that tiny speck of doubt to try to put spirits of heaviness and frustration upon me. I had to choose to walk by faith and not by sight. When I made that decision, the Holy Spirit brought the above scripture to mind and reminded me to never stop praying – even when it appears that God is aloof and remaining silent.
Such a great reminder, Barbara. I am one that can worry that God forgets about me sometimes. I am glad that is never the case, but like you said, it takes realizing that the enemy is working to put a spec of doubt into our minds when we think that way.
