Rose of Sharon

Rose of Sharon

1 I am the rose of Sharon, and the lily of the valleys. As the lily among thorns, so is my love among the daughters. As the apple tree among the trees of the wood, so is my beloved among the sons. Song of Solomon 2: 1-3 (KJV)

I had a birthday a couple of months ago and my granddaughter gave me a single red rose. I set it on the kitchen table so I could admire as I ate breakfast each morning. I watched the rose open a little each day as the light of the sun shone on it – displaying its true beauty.

We, as saints of God, are like that rose…As the light of Jesus shines on us, His love and character should bloom more and more in our lives.

I love the rose, Barbara. Thank you. I didn’t see it on Mother’s Day, but I needed it today.
