Putting on the New Is One Year Old

Putting on the New Is One Year Old

It’s hard to believe that our blog has reached her one-year anniversary!

You’d think that the very first post I wrote would be something profound or wise about this new venture I wanted to start. But naturally, it wasn’t. It’s about as simple a post as you can get. I talked about a passage I liked to meditate on: Psalm 23:2: “He leads me.”

I go back to this when times are confusing, mostly. Times when I’m not certain where things are going. I know God is there, leading me to where I need to be.

I think this was in the back of my mind when I started this blog. I knew I wanted a group of women to talk about our walk with the Lord. I knew I wanted us to share fears and happy moments and thoughts and stories. I had an idea of what it should all look like, but how it would get there? Who would join me? I had no idea. I started and hoped the rest would fall into place.

potn writers

Our lovely writers have come here from different places… a call I might have sent out here and there on the interwebs, a referral, social media… and isn’t it the coolest thing that these ladies and I are all a part of something together? That we can take our different perspectives and viewpoints that all end up in the same place: honoring our God.

So we, though many, are one body in Christ,

and individually members one of another.

~ Romans 12:5

I think this is part of what makes God so interesting. He’s truly our father, and no matter where we come from or what we’ve been through, there are universal lessons there that all lead to a greater relationship with Him. What a blessing.

Not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.

~ Hebrews 10:25

Each month I send out an email to these wonderful writers and very often it says this: “You all inspire me so much.” It’s true. They’re probably sick of hearing it by now, but I’m blown away by this group of women. I feel honored to know them through their words, and when I read their posts I am inspired and encouraged. I hope you are, too.

Here are some of my favorite posts from our current writers, in no particular order. Please enjoy:

Starting next month, we’ll have new writers joining us. Would you like to be one of them? Come with us as we share our faith and lessons in life.

Thank you for reading. Here’s to another year!

Cherie – I’ve said it before to you and many times to others….Gods hand is truly on you and your life!! You are blessed because you are SUCH a blessing to others. “Every time I think of you, I give thanks to my God.” Philippians 1:3-11 (New Living Translation) I’m so very, very thankful we found each other!
