Can We Pray for You?

Can We Pray for You?

I always feel such comfort when someone says they have prayed for me. It’s a blessing to be a part of another person’s thoughts in this way.

Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.
James 5:16 (ESV)

Many of us don’t have a lot of friends or family to pray for us, though. If that sounds like your situation, or if you just need an extra prayer to ease your soul, please let us know. We want to pray for you.

  1. I am asking for a Prayer request for my son Dawson.. He is in the Army and wants to marry this girl.. However she is running around town making up lies about me and trying to destroy my relationship with my son. She won’t stop and sent me an evil text message. Telling me that my son hates me and I’m not invited to their wedding. My son gets angry at me until I show him actual proof of texting to her being nice then he settles down. But he still plans on marrying her in September. Please.. prayers needed for this not to happen. She is attempting to destroy our relationship and we have always been close. Broken hearted mom

  2. Dear Lord, please shed your grace on this family. Please come into these relationships and help each person hear your words and feel your comfort. Help each person to listen to your will for them. Amen.

  3. Dear Broken-hearted Mom, my own heart pains for you. I encourage you to read Psalms 37 and 43, claiming their promises as your own. Rest assured we are praying for you and God will prevail!

Dear Lord, I’m praying for Your protection and truth to surround this situation. Make sure that everything that happens is revealed. Be this mother’s defender as she battles for her son’s goodwill. Make each of us faithful to pray as You bring this situation to mind. In Your mighty Name we pray, amen.

  4. Dear Debra,
How God is testing you. The battle is His.

Keep holding up your arms as Moses did as he watched the battle. In your case, keep the light of Christ visible in your kind, compassionate words, whether in texts or in speaking to your community who may be drawn into these circumstances. Whatever evil is at work cannot stand the light of love. Darkness cannot overcome it. John 1:5

Heavenly Father, we lift up Dawson and his girl friend and his mother to you. Show them your ways and teach them your paths. May they seek only Your will and open their hearts to receive your peace. Help them be obedient to your commandments and compassionate toward one another. For the sake of Your Son’s sorrowful passion, have mercy on them and on the whole world.

Holy Spirit who lives in us and in whom we live, put an end to all that is not holy in this situation. Teach us to be open to your action in us, attentive to your inspiration, and help us avoid evil and do good.

O God, you teach the hearts of the faithful through the light of the Holy Spirit: grant that through that same Holy Spirit, we may have a right understanding in all things, and always rejoice in his consolations. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

  5. Dear Debra, I am praying that God will strengthen you and the Holy Spirit will direct you. I also pray for you to become more intimate with Jesus, to feel His peace and His loving arms supporting you. I pray for the salvation of your son and potential daughter-in-law, that they will understand the love of Jesus. Remember that we wrestle not against flesh and blood (it’s not the young lady but evil spirits) but against principalities, against powers, against wickedness in high places. Read Ephesians 6:12. I will continue to pray that God works everything out for good and that He will open the eyes of your son if his future wife is not the mate created for him.

  6. Hi Debra, I am praying for you. I know how hard it is to deal with issues with our kids. I have learned that God LOVES a praying mom. There is so much in the Bible about interceding for our children. I’ve been reading Isaiah so much over the years as I deal with issues. You are on my heart and I’m interceding for your son and this difficult situation. May God intervene in a powerful way! Keep trusting the Lord, God is faithful.
